Please note: You only need to install the RealPlayer once - you will not need to install it again to view additional videos on the Web.
WINDOWS PC
1. Go to www.real.com/player on the RealPlayer Web site.
2. In the upper right hand corner of the page, click on the Free RealPlayer link. (Do not choose the "Free Download - 14 Day Trial" link. If you do so, you will be charged a monthly fee unless you cancel your service within a certain number of days.)
3. After you click the link for the Free RealPlayer, you will see the download page where you will begin to download the RealPlayer. A "Security Warning" dialog box will appear that asks you if you would like to install and run "RealPlayer Installer". If you choose "Yes", the download program will be installed on your computer and the RealPlayer installation process will proceed automatically.*
4. During the installation process you will be asked to agree to the terms of RealNetworks' End User License. If you do not accept the agreement, you will not be able to continue with the installation.
5. After you accept the agreement you will be asked to make some choices concerning default settings for the RealPlayer. These choices will not affect the performance of the video. Check the settings that appeal to you and uncheck those that do not.
6. Before the installation process is complete you will be asked to set up and register the RealPlayer. We recommend the "Basic Set-up" choice. You do not need to upgrade to the premium service or provide your credit card number at any time in order to watch the video or use the RealPlayer. In addition, you do not need to sign up for a free trial period for any premium services. However, you must create a free account with RealPlayer, if you do not already have one, by providing an e-mail address and choosing a password.
*If you choose not to install and run "RealPlayer Installer" or if the installation program does not work with your computer, you may download and install the program manually by clicking the link "Restart Download". In this case you would download the RealPlayer installer to a folder on your computer and then run the installer program which will guide you through the installation process.
Note: If your computer does not meet the minimum requirements for the current version of the RealPlayer, you can download an earlier version, but with a version earlier than RealPlayer 8 you will not be able to view the videos on our pages. Also note that Windows 95 users will not be able to install the RealPlayer version 10, even if their system otherwise meets the requirements. If you are running Windows 95, you will have to download and install the RealPlayer 8. You can download RealPlayer 8 from this page.
